     Barbara Joy Hansen is an international award winning author. She is a speaker, an advocate and has lent her voice to other survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including addicts, prisoners and sex offenders.

     She has appeared with Robin Smith (therapist of Oprah), Dr. Oz, ABC, CBN Asia, The 700 Club and many more both locally and internationally.

     Barbara has been a featured speaker at bookstores, libraries, schools, colleges, conferences on violence, prisons, churches, and even homeless shelters. She was also invited to speak to Department of Social Service staff members, as well as members of the armed forces.

     Many local radio, television, LinkedIn, Web programs and newspapers, all from around the country, have featured her story.

     She and her husband are members of GFCC (Greater Framingham Community Church) in Framingham, Mass.

     She is also a member of RAIIN (Rape, Abuse, Incest, International Network)

     to the Cry of the Child is her first book and has been featured around the world.

     Barbara lives in Massachusetts with her husband of over 50 years. She has three grown children.
