Children play
Every day
Having fun
Playing in the sun
Rolling down a hill
What a big thrill
Everyone climbing a tree
Except me
I get a call
It’s time to play ball
Maybe tomorrow play keepsies
With marbles that belong to me
I like to play hide and seek
Even though you know who is a creep
Maybe jump rope
And tell a joke
Go for a bike ride
And drive on the correct side
Maybe just walk
And talk
I like to ride horseback
On the track
On a whim
Dance or swim
Let’s stay this way

His Favorite Seat
Our cat is great
He keeps putting on weight
All day he sits in the window
And views his own special show
What does he see
Could be a bumblebee
He goes from window to window
He is very nimble
He stays on the sill
And lays very still
He’ll fall asleep
’till the birds cheep
He wonders why
They begin to fly
He catches a bug
Jumps down on the rug
Runs over to us
Puts up a fuss
It’s his time to eat
Then jump back to the window
His favorite seat
